In February I attended a photo workshop/conference called Photo Native before the classes started we had the option to sign up for some hands on classes. I picked two; one underwater class and this film class with Wendy Laurel. The models just so happened to be a photographer I have been connecting with through social media for years; Cadence and her boyfriend Brad. This class opened my eyes to an entire new world of making art. I have always had a love for film. I shoot all my travel work on film, I had drawers full of different cameras I play with but I learnt sooo many things during this session. For instance, how to create double exposures on film, the difference between 35 and 120. How to re-shoot rolls, how to control light leaks, film soup!! Endless fun you guys. So in the future I am going to be offering sessions with a roll of film included or sessions shot only on film. Below are some film shots I got on two different film types, kodak portraits 400 and Ektar 100.
When the sun was setting I just had to pull out my tilt shift lens and mess around on my digital Canon body.
