This last month I got to road trip around a couple states I have been dying to visit. California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico. Not only did I get to see incredible landscapes but I also got to meet some of the women I have been drooling over on insta for the last year.
“I graduated from FIDM (fashion institute of design & merchandising) and after working in the retail corporate world for almost 10 years – we decided to move to the desert (Joshua Tree area) for a slower pace of life and so I could stay home with our girls. (The shop name, Mimi & Lei, is made up of their nicknames) A few months after moving, I decided to check out a weaving workshop. I love learning new crafts and was eager to meet other people in the area. I met a bunch of great ladies, fell in love with weaving, and haven’t put my loom down since.”
