You all know I am shit with words. But this place is my heart, my soul, my every fibre of my being. In case you didn’t know this about me, I grew up in a hunting and fishing lodge in Northern British Columbia. I don’t mention it a lot on my photography page because so many people are so ridiculous about hunting and I don’t feel like getting into some argument over it with clients when it has nothing to do with them or their session with me. But I am extremely proud to be a hunter and a hunting guide. I have spent my entire life in this beautiful place. I was raised to run around barefoot, weed the garden, drive the boat, fix the fence and most importantly respect the wildlife and nature.
This is a compilation of a bunch of photos I have taken over the course of a couple seasons starting April to October. We have a base camp and 21 satellite camps. Our guide area is 2.2 million hectares of protected green space. We have over 60 head of horses, 3 planes, 2 quads, 2 tractors more boats and canoes then I can count but not a single vehicle, not a single tv. There is no road access, no cell service… it is literally heaven.
Here is the website if you’d like to learn more http://www.scooplake.com
