I want to melt into you like wild honey, you feel like summer sun – butterflies rising
Bees have always been a metaphor in my life – they started off as a negative in one of my conceptual pieces in school as I was referencing the stinging of a Bee. I don’t talk about it often but at this time, it was actually about my husband. When we grew, the meaning of the bees grew as well and the negative stigma was released. They were now a metaphor for growth and the idea of working hard to produce something beautiful as bees work so hard to create honey. We had honey out our wedding and even named our little one, Bee. Bees are still in my current work and I have created a Mantra ‘I’m a honeybee who feeds off the pollen of only the tallest flowers.
