Nalcoah and I spend our days at home, often by ourselves while Gideon goes to work. I am so thankful that we have the ability to be bringing in income during this time but the lonliness feels heavy. Gideon has been working Saturdays as well so to only have one day a week where it’s not just me with Nalcoah can feel just overwhelming. I’m learning and relearning her as she evolves. And I’m learning myself as well. Days look like Nalcoah taking everything out of the cupboards, the laundry basket, the trash bin; playing with oranges and raspberries; naps in the bed listening to ‘Cigarettes After Sex’; and grilled cheese. I’m trying to think about how this is Nalcoahs first spring earthside and that it can still be special and filled with greens and flowers; sunlight and delicious fruits.
